Founded in Austria and mastered in Italy, Carrera eyewear specialises in producing sunglasses and sports goggles. Inspired by the Carrera Panamericana race, Wilhelm Anger founded Carrera in 1956. Instantly hooked on eyewear, Anger produced and patented the material ‘Optyl’, a plastic 20% lighter than the standard acetate, resistant to allergies to boot. After international prestige due to Formula 1 and the 1988 Winter Olympics, Carrera was purchased by Safilo and headquarters transferred to Padova, Italy, in 1996. Exclusively produced for men, Carrera sunglasses will support you whatever the surroundings. Produced in a sharp range of shapes and with brilliant colour combinations applied to each model – you’ll find your perfect sporting pair of glasses that will draw the crowds whether at the racing or the beach. At Glasses Station, Carrera sunglasses are available upon prescription.
